Dates for England

Finally got my itinerary for my trip home. I fly back to the UK on the 8th July, arriving on the morning of the 9th. From there I go straight to run this neutron experiment until the morning of the 13th July. Not sure how much work needs to be done for the rest of that day so I’ll be headed home either on the 13th or the 14th July where I stay and have fun until I fly back to Aus on the evening of Monday 28th July.

So, there you have it – some more definite dates for people to make sure they catch me!

As for updates on Aus, Seamus’s uncle kindly got us some free tickets to go to the Gabba (Brisbane Cricket Ground) to watch a game of Aussie Rules football (AFL). The seats were in an excellent position, but unfortunately they were right in the sun – being almost winter here we hadn’t prepared for how intense that was (even though Seamus has lived here all his life) and we ended up having to leave early. It was good all the same, I’d probably give it another go if I could get tickets for an evening game or something. Would definitely like to go and watch some cricket there. The stadium itself was pretty impressive.

Managed to finaly buy myself a few new clothes a week or so ago. Some new pairs of shorts, couple of tops, and the worlds biggest hoodie (which is awesome). Also have begun the application for permission to work so that I can hopefully earn a bit more cash with some teaching. At the moment I am spending every penny I get paid so there’s nothing getting saved at all.

Think that’s about it. Apart from saying that Brisbane bus drivers need to cheer up and learn their bus routes better. Yesterday the driver on my bus home from work took wrong turnings about 3 times before someone had to sit up next to him and direct him the way to go.
