So I have completed my 3 weeks in England and made the (almost) 2 day journey back to Brisbane. Trip was uneventful and rubbish but as good as could be expected. Managed to watch Cloverfield and 21, both of which are worth a watch if you’ve not seen them!
Thank you to everybody who made an effort to see me while I was back. It was really nice to see everyone that I could because I honestly don’t know what I will be back in the country next… it’s too expensive for me to fly back any time in the near future. I do however now feel like I need a holiday… What with trips to London for a night here, another night there, a day trip to France, nights out in Oxford, nights out at home, etc, etc, I’ve been rushed off my feet for the whole time I was back. Still, it was really nice to see everyone and I wish I had had a little bit longer.
Brisbane is COLD at the moment. The first night I was back I slept in my pyjamas, a hoody, socks, with a sheet and two blankets on the bed and I was still cold all night long. I think I will have to finally invest in a doona (that’s aussie for duvet apparently). The days are still warm enough and nice and sunny though so that’s nice.
Have still been way too lazy to sort out the photos I took while I was in England, but I will do so soon then put them up on here and on facebook. The panoramic ones I took will definitely show up better here though as Facebook does its whole re-sizing thing. I have spent most of my time since I got back buying the bits & setting up my new “proper” PC, which should help me keep in touch even easier (and play the odd game or two in my spare time!).
Anyway, that’s about all for now. Hannah is arriving this afternoon / evening to stay for a week so that should be good fun. I just hope she gets herself to mine okay once she lands because my directions were somewhat vague!
