Hello.
Been quite a long time since I last updated anything but that’s mostly because I have done very little recently. This weekend just gone is the first time I’ve had a day not in the lab for about 3 weeks so it has mostly been work going on.
Things that have happened since my last update in a convenient list format:
- I opened a savings account so that I can save some spending money for the New Zealand trip in January (very slowly saving because I don’t have that much spare cash as it is!)
- We went out for George’s birthday to the brewhouse. Drank many nice beers and a few of us only got home at about 4:30 in the morning. I was the first one in the lab the next day – there by 10 – so I am the winner.
- We dressed as pirates for International Speak Like A Pirate day and went to the Oktoberfest german beer festival for beers and sausages. Our group got a photo on the Brisbane Times website because we looked so cool.
- I went to watch the Brisbane Broncos (Rugby League Team) at the Suncorp stadium. They played Melbourne Storm in the semi-finals of the league. Storm were favourites to win the whole thing and Brisbane had them 12-0 at half time. Unfortunately Storm scored a winning try in the final minute right in the corner where we were sat. A disappointing ending to a good game. Nevermind…. bring on the cricket season!

That’s about it for now I think. Back to working hard so that I can get my PhD at some point I suppose. I have about $40 left to last me until next pay day (Thursday) so it’s going to be a fairly quiet week I think.
